Eric is home from college for Easter break, and Jenna doesn't have school either. Yay! It's not very often that all four of us are under the same roof.
This week's prompts for Friday's Hunt are...
1. Starts with "M"...
Murphy is no stranger to my blog. She's our eight year old black lab...with a personality like no other. When she was born to Snickers...our yellow lab, Jenna chose her right away as the puppy we were going to keep. She tried our patience for the first two years of her rambunctious life, chewing on everything from shoes to rocking chairs to picnic tables. But we can't imagine what it would be like to not have her around!
2. Week's Favorite...
Of course it has something to do with flowers! The pussy willows that I had on my porch were going to seed, and I was in need of some brightening up, so I went to my neighbor and traded her a loaf of homemade bread for some forsythia...
3. Bird or Wings...
I was putzin' around in the garden this morning, and the chickens were ever so curious...
Lots more happened today, but I'll save that for another post on another day.
Have a wonderful Easter weekend!
Lovely chickens!
ReplyDeletebeautiful blooms! sweet murphy. yup, labs can be destructive!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice seeing Spring at your place and Murphy would agree the he likes to sit in the sun on the green grass. His coat s so shiny. Lovely trade-in for the pretty Forsythia. I bet they will last longer than the home made bread.
ReplyDeleteThe chicken seems happy to be outside too.
Happy Easter.
Hugs,
JB
I'm still waiting for the forsythia to come into bloom.
ReplyDeleteCute nosy chicks! I love yellow belles...sure wish I could get mine to grow. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteLove the forsythia and the unique containers they are in. Very Pretty.

ReplyDeleteMurphy is a beautiful Lab, and at age 8, seems less rambunctious in this pose! The pussywillows, like our forsythia is blooming a wonderful shade of Spring yellow. The chickens do look somewhat inquisitive. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteChickens are funny birds. I love forsythia. It's always that first bright burst of spring.
ReplyDeleteMy, you sure made a good barter of a loaf of bread for forsythia branches and they look very spring - like. I didn't know chickens had a curious side to them...
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful Murphy! I so desperately want a dog again, but I figure I should wait until summer break. Lovely splash of colors! Nice that your chickens were keeping an eye on your gardening. Hope you have a blessed Easter with your family. Thanks for joining Friday's Hunt.
ReplyDeleteYour day looks like true spring day, it full of life. Murphy looks beautiful with the spring melancholy
