Friday's Hunt #2...

It's time for another post linking to Friday's Hunt, with Teresa at Eden Hills!

This week's prompts are...

1. The letter "B"

I've got a wagon full of buckets that fit into that category!  Water buckets...milk buckets...

...buckets full of breakfast...

...empty buckets...

I'll add another "B", and that's bummer.  Remember our little calf with the broken leg?  We're so disappointed.  We did everything we could for her, but she unfortunately didn't make it.  These things happen, but it's never easy.

2. "Week's Favorite"

I couldn't post just one of my favorite Tom cat, Dust Bunny!  He has a super personality, and is the largest, softest cat that we have.  He feels just like a stuffed animal!

3.  "Outside"

It's dreary outside again...but the chickens don't seem to mind.  They're still giving me 10 - 12 eggs per day! They love being outside, and they come running to the fence anticipating a treat.  Every time...

Happy Saturday to you!

  2. So sorry to hear you lost the calf. That certainly is a lot of buckets! That cat looks like he might be a tad bit spoiled too. Happy chickens! We were 36 and rainy last night. This morning, we're 9 and windy. I wish we could find a happy medium. Thanks so much for linking up.

  3. Dust Bunny is a great name for a dusty grey cat! He looks like a cutie! And I love the photo of your chickens at the fence! Sorry about losing the calf, though.

  4. I'm sorry about the little calf. Sometimes no matter what you do it's just not meant to be. Such a beautiful kitty - I had a grey cat named Ghost once.

  7. I'm so sorry about poor little calf. What a bummer indeed...She must have had some internal injuries. Those hens sure are earning their keep.
    Have a great weekend Alica.

  11. Sorry to hear about Bummer, but you are right. Sometimes things on the farm just don't work out. My chickens are on strike for the winter....maybe time for a few new ones.

  13. Alicia,

Buckets, I love it! A farm/ranch wife has expert bucket hauling skills!

The cat on my FB header, Punkin, was my little buddy and always under foot. Unfortunately, under car tire is not as safe. J was pretty sad to tell me of Punkin's ill fate.

Yea that your chickes are still laying! For a long time I was getting 5 eggs one day and 2 the next. I'm getting less now. Maybe with this weeks warmer temps they will give a few more eggs.

I am down to 13 hens. I seem to have one girl that vanished. I haven't seen her for a week and nor have I seen any evidence of her.

Hope you have a wonderful week!
