Frosty Morning...

It was cold enough that my fingers just about froze feeding calves and chickens this morning, but the beautiful frost was worthy of taking some pictures...

My amateur photography skills don't capture it at it's best, but it sure was beautiful!

Happy December!

  1. Everything is white and frosty in the mid-20s air this morning here, too. I have no chickens to feed, but the birds and squirrels practically knock on the patio door when the feeders are empty. Enjoy your day. :-D

  3. Nice photos ! I love taking photos of frosty mornings and soon snow ! My mum used to joke and say she would knit the chickens some winter socks when it was cold and frosty when we had our hbby farm lol . Have a wonderful day !

  4. I know what you mean about loving the look of a frosty morning. Photos just never can do them justice. Although yours certainly got the message across.

Someone should figure out how to make boots like the ones poultry wear. Ducks swim in ice water, chickens walk on frozen ground and neither seems to mind the cold......or is it just their lack of common sense.

  5. It reminds me of Alaska. Only there it was ice. The trees looked like they were made of glass. The frosted ground was so pretty with the trees.

  7. Nice pictures! Too bad I didn't have such pretty scenery to look at this morning when I was scraping the frost from my windshield in the dark!

  8. If your daughter like the cat. she may also like the gingerbread post. It tells you the link that takes you to a gingerbread house that you can decorate with candy. It also has other fun things for kids. It an older post so you may have to scroll down. It is so much fun. I have played it at least 5 times!

  11. Love the top picture! My hands and feet ached so bad from the cold this morning by the time I finished milking. The frostiness is lovely, but I can just tell it was cold there. Brr!
