A friend started seeing "rough" eggs and within a few days she almost lost the flock from infection but she caught it in time. Of course old hens can lay these eggs or new hens who hold onto them too long. Hope it was just one of those days for the hen! I haven't made it to your farm yet. I fell in the corn field and am wearing a black eye right now and some sore limbs...Summer is leaving too quick this year!
