Knee-high...

...by the 4th of July!

Or so it used to be...

I'm sure there are a variety of reasons why the corn is much taller now by the 4th of July than it used to be...weather, planting dates, improved seed corn, etc...but it's definitely more than knee-high today!

Happy 4th of July!

  1. Alica I assume that is you. It is very nice to put a face with a name. Our corn is not that high around here you are about a month ahead of us.
Off to bale, just stopped after raking for lunch. B

  2. That is a great picture! A lot of the corn around here isn't quite that tall yet. It was late planting due to the weather this year.

  5. Our corn is pretty sad looking around here. It's very patchy and alot of it is not knee high yet. Not sure what it is going to do to feed prices around here. My sweet corn is to my shoulder if not over my head and taseled already.
