Look closely at this picture...
Do you see something other than snow and our neighbors' barns peeking over the hill?
I know it's hard to see, but if you click on the picture to enlarge it, you might be able to see our neighbors' dog, sitting in front of the tree on the far left of the fence line.
Every. Single. Morning...he sits just over the property line and barks... and barks...and barks. It's far away enough that it's not annoying...but rather amusing!
I guess he's looking for "someone" to play with!
Snickers and Murphy ignore him most of the day...but at night we hear the "Twilight Barking" begin around bed time, and I'm sure they run through the fields to meet their neighbor while we're sleeping.
awww. sweet pup! i hope they get along enough to play. :)
ReplyDeleteUmm, that would be annoying. Just sayin'. I need to adopt your attitude. :) Have a great day Alica! ox
ReplyDeleteAww and you don't go play especially in this weather(lol)!
ReplyDeleteOf course you dog wants to play. When we were kids we used to hitch our dog to a light sled and he would pull us slowly to the wood-line and then on his way back home he would run as fast as he could. And we thought that it was so funny.
ReplyDeleteI even got a picture of him on my Childhood Memories rug. I never forgot that dog.
Have a great week.
Hugs,
JB
Dogs being dogs :)
ReplyDeleteFor some un-know reason our dog Rowdy has taken up growling and small barking lately. Just at night, and almost the same time each night.
I think he wants to go chase the deer :)
Just looking for a friend, I do believe :)
ReplyDeleteAwe poor dog , Miggs and I will play with him . When our Miggs goes out to do her business at night, sometimes she starts barking at the air I think she picks up a disturbing scent and warns what it belongs to off and if another dog barks she barks but that's them communicating ! Nice photo . Thanks for sharing . Have a good week !
ReplyDeleteSounds like an invite to come and play alright. Fun photo.
ReplyDeleteSounds so lonely. Poor guy.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture. Sounds like dogs being dogs - just discussing their options.
ReplyDeletePoor dog. Waiting all the day for a company.
ReplyDeleteOh that is funny. I bet they are lining up the plans they have for the night. Silly dog. It looks beautiful though in those pictures.
ReplyDeleteHow funny. Wonder what he's saying?
ReplyDeletePoor pup! I hope he finds somedog to come play with him! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, it must be nice to live that far away from your nearest neighbor's dog! (My three acres can be a little close.) Beautiful photos. <3
ReplyDeleteNight barking...the most annoying type of dog talk there is!

It's nice to have neighbors you can get along with. Even better when you can play in the fields together at night.
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful photo! And how funny that he is always begging for a playmate. I don't think I would find the barking as humorous as you do. . .
