Saying Goodbye To the Puppies...

It's getting a little lonely around here these days!

Last week at this time we had seven puppies running around, rolling in the flower beds, playing tug of war with a chew toy, chasing Murphy for the elusive drink and pointing at the chickens.

As of this morning, we have only three.

Watching kids pick out their favorite puppy...watching people meet the dogs they chose by sight on the internet...it's all good.

Wilbur left for his new home in New Jersey on Thursday, Reggie and Nugget left for New Jersey and Pittsburgh on Saturday, and this morning Cupcake (aka Findlay) is flying home to Arizona.  Jenna left early for school this morning and said her goodbyes while it was still dark.

Meet our new friends Frank and Cheryl...

We had so much fun meeting them yesterday afternoon and hosting them overnight while they met and got to know Findlay.  They took us out to dinner last night, and there was no lack of things to talk about!  Findlay is going to have a great life in Arizona, we just know it!

*Findlay and her family made it safely to Phoenix...and the word is that she was an amazing traveler!

This Friday we'll say goodbye to Mocha (Delaware) and Ted (aka Cooper) will go to New Jersey next Sunday.  That leaves us with...

Phoebe!

I'm sure you'll be seeing more of this pretty gal!

  2. The sadness that you feel means you have done your job well. You have shown these little fur balls that humans are reliable and can be trusted and loved. It is difficult...I know from experience, but you have made great little buddies for others who will share the love they have experienced so early in their little lives! <3

  6. Findlay was an amazing traveler! She rode in a car, plane, train and now is taking a sunset cruise on the boat. We are blessed and delighted to have this little girl in our lives. We have wonderful new friends in Alica and Jim. Great kids! What a treat we think we're coming home with a new puppy and we came home with so much more!

  7. Wow! World traveling pups! Why are people coming so far to get them, I wonder? They are mixed, right? Not purebred?

    1. Yes...these are mixed. It's a nice mix, and not one that's easy to find. Several of the people who bought from this litter said that they'd had either Pointers or Pointer mixes before and loved them! I don't know everyone's reasons, but this is an area where dogs are plentiful, and the prices are "reasonable" compared to many places. The website we advertise on is also one that pops up at the top of the search engines, and once they see those adorable faces, who can resist at least looking?! :) It's been really fun watching people choose puppies, and seeing them go to good homes.
