Excerpts from life on a small dairy farm...
wow! looks like an overbaked bun! :)
a hen with hemorrhoids?
Poor hen. I have had one or two like that. It always make you wonder doesn't it?
Give that chicken some castor oil. ;-)
Child birth is over rated. I never felt a thing!
That looks painful. What was she eating? Sometimes you see the oddest things.
Interesting, it looks prehistoric!
One of the first eggs from my pullets was kinda like that. She should have laid it a few days earlier and quit laying the extra shell on it!
A friend started seeing "rough" eggs and within a few days she almost lost the flock from infection but she caught it in time. Of course old hens can lay these eggs or new hens who hold onto them too long. Hope it was just one of those days for the hen! I haven't made it to your farm yet. I fell in the corn field and am wearing a black eye right now and some sore limbs...Summer is leaving too quick this year!
Never seen anything like it! The joys of having animals, you see all sorts of different things!
Oh, poor chicken!!!
I have seen some weird eggs but nothing like that!
is that really an egg? I've never seen anything like it, says the city slicker.
Ouch is right:) Hug B
That looks like a scrambled egg BEFORE cracking.
I have seen eggs like this before, and always hoped the chicken was fine. Notice there's no blood on it! It had to have been hurting coming out!
I had a car I adored and had a hard time getting rid of also. So I so understand.Lindahttp://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com http://deltacountyhistoricalsociety.wordpress.com
It's a peanut butter egg :)
I enjoy hearing what you have to say! Thanks for your comments!
