Overnight we had about 3" of white stuff...just enough to get out and play in... just enough to have to scrape the driveway... and just enough to chase the
They were nowhere to be seen this morning when I was feeding...
Oh...there they are! All 24 of them...clucking and crowded inside their shed...
They will be outside scavenging in the coldest wind, and in the cold rain, but step onto the snow? No chance! Who cares that it's barely below freezing...
Silly chickens!
The farm looks very serene in the snow. I guess chickens are like cats..both chicken in the snow!! :)Cheers, Jenni
ReplyDeleteOh my, I don't blame them a BIT... the older I get, the less I like it, too!
ReplyDeleteThey are funny sometimes. We've gotten cold and windy, so even the ducks are going inside some of the time now.
ReplyDeleteI would be right there beside them. I don't like snow.
ReplyDeleteLove the red dutch barn chicken house ! I dont blame them quite chilly on the feet lol ! Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteYour poor wimpy chickens, That made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteYour poor trees, that hurts so much.
Well, it finally is winter.
I liked the shot of the buggies all lined up.
Have a lovely day,
Does look very peaceful. Once they get past the first snow or two, my chickens don't mind going out in it. But definitely, on the day of the first snow, they just stand by the door and and look out.
ReplyDeleteStill no snow here, just lots of rain. I have an award I would like to share with you. Come pick it up at my blog.
ReplyDeleteLove the snowy picture : )
ReplyDeleteAll we've had so far this winter is a couple dustings of snow, which is welcome. But now the winter wheat is needing some moisture. Silly chickens, what is it with them and snow?
ReplyDeleteWe have about half the girls heading out into the snow, but quite a few just won't step out at all. Glad to know it's not just my birds! The first big snow, they all hid inside.
